Theater - Introduction to Acting
ALL CLASSES AVAILABLE IN RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH
This course is designed to develop basic acting skills exploring
simple elements of acting techniques based on THE STANISLAVSKY SYSTEM / METHOD ACTING.
The uniqueness of this course is based upon dual goals: it can be used as a foundation for future theater or movie works and at the same time serve as psychological treatment creating stability in one's interaction with the world. For students who aren't planning to become professional actors, this course enables them to perceive and understand the world in a more open-minded, vivid way. I addition, the course is designed to broaden one's senses : not only watch, but see; not only listen, but hear; not only touch, but feel. We are inviting people of any age or professional background to join this experience. By taking part in this class, you will have the opportunity to become a part of our family of captivating and intelligent individuals and take with you an increased knowledge of theater and life.

Yuriy Brusilovsky
Yuriy Brusilovsky has been a member of the Actors’ Equity Association since 1994. Between 1994 and 2009, Yuriy worked as an actor, director, and the acting coach at the National Theater Conservatory at the University of Colorado in Denver. Since then, he has transitioned to working as a head of his own theater studio “Act Now”.
Yuriy's teaching method is based on the Stanislavsky System, and the skills taught in his class are designed to help children with inner actor technique and enhance their Russian Language development.
